ABOUT SEA TEACHER PROGRAM AT USI, PHILIPPINES
Universidad de Sta. IsabelUniversidad de Sta. Isabel (USI) in Naga City, Philippines, is a private Catholic university founded in 1868 by the Daughters of Charity, making it the first normal school for women in the Philippines and Southeast Asia . As a partner institution in the Southeast Asian Teacher Education (SEA-Teacher) Program Batch 10, USI plays a pivotal role in fostering cross-cultural educational exchanges.
Teaching PlanDuring my SEA Teacher internship at USI Kindergarten, I had the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibilities in the classroom—from observing and assisting to independently planning and delivering lessons.

Pedagogical ContentsThe lessons were thoughtfully planned and developmentally appropriate, focusing on foundational skills in english literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. Teachers used a variety of interactive strategies, such as storytelling, singing, dance, guided play, and hands-on activities to actively engage the children and support their individual learning needs.

Farewell PartyThe celebration featured a vibrant lineup of performances, including an enchanting folk dance by the Vincentian Performing Arts Company and heartfelt renditions of Bicolano folk songs by practice teachers from the Bachelor of Music Education. Ms. Adyska and Ms. Najwa also delighted everyone with a cultural performance, dancing Gemu Fa Mi Re.
